Comparative Religion 101
Only in the sense that there is no belief in a deity as such. Buddhism is a set of beliefs, tenets, not a worship of an icon/figurehead. Some Buddhists sects have moves toward a deification of Buddha in his first incarnation but that is not part of the "traditional" Buddhist philosophy.
Buddhist philosophy does touch on many of the same topics that deity-based religions incorporate, such as what happens after death, but it really doesn't exactly meet the criteria to be a religion when compared to the other world religions. It is much more of a philosophy.
