Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] dleigh. I never do memes. ::shrugh::

A book you own that no one on your friends list does:
The Christopher Robin Book of Verse by A.A. Milne
How about this one:
Frank Lloyd Wright's House Beautiful by Diane Maddox

A CD you own that no one on your friends list does:
Latin Quarter - Modern Times

A DVD/VHS tape you own that no one on your friends list does:
Not sure I should say... wait, I'll come up with something not X-rated...
Stamp Affair - Rubber Stamping Tips & Tricks

A place you've been that no one on your friends list has been:
The Celestial Room of the Oakland, CA Mormon Temple

I have your book

Really? The version published in 1967? It's got all these gorgeous classic illustrations - I love it.

Wait - are you on my friends list? LOL Technically, if you're not, then it still counts, right? I mean, I can add you now, but since you weren't on my flist when I posted the meme, it counts. Right? LOL Pa-thetic, as Eeyore says.

Your right you don't have me down as a friend :( sorry i didn't realise. But yes I can't be sure on the date when it was published, it mught actually be older than that because it's the first ever edition of the book.

Poor you. : P

Even when I was a somewhat believing Molly Mo, I thought the Celestial Room in the Ogden Temple was a gaudy atrocity. LOL I'm going to assume most Celestial Rooms look somewhat similar, with their crystal chandeliers and velvet sofas.

Ha! I have that book!

Just friended you, 'cause anyone with a semi-obscure Winnie-The-Pooh book is a friend of mine.

I also just changed my book selection in the meme 'cause another friend has the pooh book too. LOL

Actually, the one in the Oakland Temple has some Frank Lloyd Wright inspired elements, and I love his work. The single chandelier in the room is very modern/deco looking. I think the couches are still velvet though. LOL I have a picture from an old Ensign somewhere - I'll have to scan it for you.

Well damn. I just changed it to something else, but I bet someone will have this one too. ::sigh::

It's sort of fun seeing who has the same things as you though huh? :-)

It's not that exciting although the longer I am on LJ the more I seem to write, it's mainly just hosting my vids. I love winnie the Pooh, it's sort of a national institution in the UK (where I'm from) although I haven't been keen on what disney has done to it.

Sorry just had to add this:
Eeyore is grey not blue! How could they :wonders off shaking head:

[identity profile] jenepherre.livejournal.com 2004-10-15 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I'm totally with you! I love the 'classic' Pooh and Eeyore and friends a lot better than the modern Disney versions. I have lots of both kinds of Eeyores, but prefer the grey, classic styled ones by far.

In the book of verse, if you look at the poem, The Engineer... the pictures on that page... that's the real Eeyore. ::nods::

Just realized all my Eeyore icons and mood icons are of the modern Eeyore. Might have to work on that...

Eeyore was always my favourite, I guess I was able to relate to him, and he also made me happy, I guess that's why I took it soo badly when Disney got it's hands on it. I LOVE your icon!
