Need movie recs

Let's pretend ::cough:: that I've seen practically no new movies in the past 6 years. I just joined Blockbuster Online, and I need recommendations. What (other than The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) do you recommend? I like romance, but not too mainstream. I like drama. I like some sci-fi. Anything with a gay theme will go to the top of the list. But I'm open to anything you want to recommend.

So how about it?

ETA: I knew this kind of post would get a fair number of responses, but wow. Now I might have to actually keep my Blockbuster Online membership. LOL You can keep reccing, but I think my list is long enough for now, and plenty of them are currently available too. Thanks everybody!

I would also go for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind if you like real quirky romance-drama.

Mulholland Dr. was a good one too.

I've heard good things about Eternal Sunshine, but Jim Carrey irritates me. Even in non-comedy roles.

Mulholland Dr looks bizarre... but then it is David Lynch.

Got anything where I can see Gale Harold on a motorcycle, or something that would have a similar ::cough:: effect on me? ROFL

Oh Gael Garcia Bernal has a movie, it may just be hitting the theaters called: Motorcycle Diaries that I'll probably see because I like Gael & I watch pretty much anything Pedro Almovador makes.

LMAO! Dude, "Wake" is on the Netflix queue, but I haven't heard if anyone even got it in the mail from them yet.

Hee! Actually, I'm the proud owner of a copy of Wake on VHS. Yay me!!! I'll still buy the DVD when/if it comes out though. Good movie. And Gale riding a motorcycle will always make me hot. hehehe
