[livejournal.com profile] quinn222's Happy Meme

Well, I can't really list anything good that's happened to me lately... well, maybe I can.
1) My pus pocket is gone!
2) I have awesome friends, who demand people participate in happy memes when the fandom is schizophrenic.
3) Mom bought me a little Eeyore notebook... just because she knows I love Eeyore.
4) I get to go to LA next week and finally meet my almost 2 month old nephew Neal.
5) My birds are freakin' hilarious and always manage to make me smile.

On that last topic... Bailey, my 1 year old male budgie (parakeet), would like to speak to all of you from his favorite 'soap box' - one of the blades of the ceiling fan. He thinks the ceiling fan is his little playground. He's always flying over and landing on a blade, hopping over to the next blade, going up to where the blades meet the central part and talking to his reflection in the brass. He even 'rides' the fan (not turned on, of course... I'm afraid I won't be able to use it as a fan anymore unless he's locked in his cage). If he lands on a blade just the right way, it gives it enough of a push for it to circle most of the way around the room. And he just sits there and rides it, chirping happily away the whole time. It's a riot!

Anyway, if anyone wants to see it, here's a little video clip of him giving one of his lectures from the ceiling fan. Whatever the topic was, he was quite enthusiastic about it - note the head bobbing and the pecking at the ceiling. LOL It's a 1.6mb zipped .wmv file. Click here to download.

He really can reach it, but he doesn't eat it. Instead he picks it off the ceiling and drops it down onto my bed below. Just another birdie mess to clean up, albeit a funnier one than usual. LOL
