Truthfully, I didn't want to like the books either. Somehow SM's style grabs you and you keep reading.

I loathed Bella. Whiney, weak....oh, don't get me going.

hahaha I didn't loathe Bella, but I didn't exactly sympathize with her. And I felt the same way about the books - didn't want to like them, but got sucked in. The movie... well, it didn't ruin the books for me, but that's probably just because it's so entirely *forgettable.* Glad I didn't pay to see it in the theaters or anything. Ugh.
