I got my Latter Days DVD today!!!

It's not supposed to be released until Tuesday, but I guess because I pre-ordered way early mine came early! Or maybe it just knew I needed something to cheer me up.

Aaron/Christian. THE OTP. The hotness. The sensuality. The love.

Naturally, I did some screen caps of the love scene.

Not much else going on. I have a cold or some other annoying viral type thing. Blah.

Oh... since I just can't say enough about this movie... here are some memorable Latter Days quotes...

Aaron: I'm already going to hell for kissing you... I might as well take the scenic route.
Christian: What God do you believe in?

Lila: Your church doesn't like alcohol or homosexuals. Well I'm definitely not joining. Can't imagine heaven without both.

I'm really enjoying the screencaps. Those were some beautiful bodies. I wouldn't mind some caps of when Aaron fixes Christian's booboo. ; )

Hey Sweets! I owe a lot of my love for this movie to you! Did I thank you for that? Hope so...

I will do screen caps of the booboo fixing scene just for you. Might not be until tomorrow though - I'm supposed to be having company for dinner today.

Just remove all the asterisks. And play with the size if you want. I find that if I don't make it a larger size than the standard page text, you can barely tell it's a smilie. But you could probably take it down to +2. Let's see...

You can also do these:
K - replace the J with a K
L - replace the J with a L

Wingdings is a standard Windows font, so everyone running Windows should have it. People on Macs might not, but it wouldn't screw anything up either - it'd just show a capitol J.

I'm just full of useless information like that. LOL

I assume Tower will have it. Don't know why they wouldn't. TLA Video, 10%.com and Amazon have had it available for preorder for a while. Be sure and look at what version you're getting too - there's both a R rated version and an unrated version.

As to the DVD itself, do you know if it's buy-able at regular US videostores, or only online? Or should I just buy it online and have it mailed to a US address and pick it up when I'm there at the end of the month?

I assume it'll be available at all the usual sources. But if there's a US address you can have it sent to, and pick it up when you're here, I think I'd do that.

Refresh my memory - are you going to be on the east coast or west coast this time? You'll let me know next time you're out here in California, right?

Beautiful screencaps! *Pouts because I haven't gotten my DVD yet.* I pre-ordered, too! LOL!

I also can't say enough about this movie. I really do love it. As for screencap requests, how about the scene where Julie and Christian go dancing. Christian's all hot and sweaty and stripping off his shirt on the dancefloor. That man is gorgeous! :-p Hopefully you know the scene I mean, the one that cuts back and forth between Christian on the dancefloor and Aaron at his parent's home. (I'm trying to be really careful not to give any spoilers to those who haven't seen it yet. It's a film best watched un-spoiled.)

I will definitely do some caps of Julie and Christian dancing. I do know which scene you're talking about - I watched the movie about 5 times yesterday. LOL Christian/Wes does look sooo sexy when he gets all sweaty like that.

I personally would like a missing scene explaining how he ended up in Julie's bra back at the beginning of the movie. ROFL!!

LOL! Steve is adorable and did a great job as "Aaron" but I was all about Wes/Christian. He just blew me away in the role. The scene where he goes to see Aaron's mother, it makes me cry everytime!

I personally would like a missing scene explaining how he ended up in Julie's bra back at the beginning of the movie. ROFL!!

Heh, heh, heh. Yeah, I bet Julie would love to know how that happened, too! But I wanted a missing scene there at the end, in between the scene at Lila's and the Thanksgiving dinner. That's my only complaint. I wanted a little more interaction there. BTW, is there any good extras on the DVD?

There are some great extras on the DVD:
Great commentary/Behind the scenes with the cast (lots of Wes with adorable curly hair)
Music videos for 3 of Julie's songs (which means we get the full length songs too!)
Three deleted scenes - none of which involve sex, unfortunately. LOL
And other stuff... a short film by C. Jay Cox that I haven't watched yet, etc.

Thanks for the info on the DVD extras. It sounds great. I'm looking forward to seeing the full video for the song Julie wrote about Christian. We only got a little of the song and the video in the movie so seeing the whole thing will be cool.

What timing, Jen. I just watched the movie again last night... not sure how many times I've seen it, I lost count. While Steve's no slouch, I don't think I would have been as affected by the film if not for Wes. The evolution of his character is inspiring (although I suppose his body had a little something to do with it too). heh. Thanks for the caps... I'd go for some of the "tending to the wound" when they're on the bed as well.

I think I relate to the character of Aaron more because I was raised Mormon myself. But there's no question that both Wes and Steve do a fantastic job in this film, and they have an obvious chemistry and play off each other so well...

I wonder if part of the reason that the evolution of Wes' character is so inspiring to us (it is to me too) is because it reminds us of Brian's evolution over the past 4 years... Brian may not have said ILY (yet), but there are definitely some similarities, I think.

I'll work on more screen caps tomorrow. Definitely need one of Aaron wiping Christian's sweaty brow with a cool cloth... ::grin::

I can maybe make some clips... but isn't there a way for you to get a copy of the movie? Do you have a DVD player that plays region 1 DVDs? LMK if I can help you get a copy of it somehow, k? We could have a copy sent to me here in California, and then I could mail it to you - but of course it'd be region 1 encoded.

Hey, no, I can't see region 1 and I can't see DVDs in my computer either. But thanks for the kind offer anyway :) ... I really apprecite it. I guess watching 1 or 2 clips that you like would be enough for me but really, don't worry about it if you can't do it, I guess it'd arrive here in a couple of years.
