The diagnosis

If you voted for "pus pocket" - you get a gold star. :-P

I have tonsillitis AND bronchitis. I knew it was more than one thing. ::sigh:: When I get sick, I go all out. So - antibiotics and yummy cough syrup with codeine. Yay me.

Oh - just a note on that fandom stuff I mentioned...

There are NO sock puppets. Well, at least the people who were accused of being sock puppets are NOT sock puppets. I know this without a doubt. It was the accusations and general wankery that followed that I was bothered by. Momentarily. Then I laughed it off, because it's so ridiculous.

Off to eat my chicken soup and take my drugs and hope that ugly white thing in my throat goes away soon.

Feel better soon.

Pus Pockets are wierd, I've had a couple in my time. You want to huck 'em up, but they just don't move!

Take care - get some rest.

Kristen

Thanks... slept really well last night thanks to the cough medicine. ;-)

Oh Jen. What does one say? I hope your recovery is fast and as painless as possible.

That cough medicine gave me the best night's sleep I've had in a couple of weeks. I can deal with the taste - as long as it works. And it does seem to work for me.

::hugs back::

Pus pockets and sock puppets. Blech to both.

btw, with your grey LJ background, I can't see the grey cursor. It's rather difficult to type. Is there a way to change the background color of the response window without changing your whole color scheme?

Heather :)

Blech to both is right.

I played around with my LJ some more. Do the colors work better now? They do for me.

To paraphrase Grandma in "The Nutty Professor", "A little pus pocket ain't never hurt nobody!" LOL. I get pus pockets all the time, and I never have a fever or a sore throat. It makes me wonder if they're really just food particles that stick together and turn white, but still, ewwww. I usually press mine out with either a finger or a cotton swab, and they don't smell very nice. Double ewwww. Hope you feel better really soon.

Queen

How do you do that without making yourself gag though? I tried it last night, and just couldn't get to it. Only succeeded in making my throat more sore. :-(

Thanks for the well wishes.

Mmmm...cough syrup with codeine. Lived on that crap for two weeks during my pneumonia episode.

Get better, hon - and don't worry about this wanktastic fandom. :)

I'm running low on mine from when I was sick. How come no one ever told me how kick-ass that stuff is! I love it. All these years of me not taking medicine and I was missing out!

I was afraid of that stuff for the longest time, because I had taken it once (my dad's prescription a few years back), and slept for 24 hours straight.

[identity profile] dawnybee.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I fought taking my medicine because some of the side effects were nightmares and hallucinations (I kid you not). But I love the heavy feeling I get taking it. Know I know why people abuse this stuff!

I kid you not! I took a dose, crashed out at 6:30 that Friday evening, and woke up at 6:30 Saturday evening. My parents kept coming in my room to make sure I was still breathing!

[identity profile] mi-nion.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 03:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I get that with percosit. Really scary hallucinations & nightmares.

[identity profile] jenepherre.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmmm is right. LOL I slept so well last night. It was great.

And the wanktastic fandom can go wank itself off. Or something. Heh.

I have tonsillitis AND bronchitis
Yikes! That sounds painful. Aww, take care.

[identity profile] jenepherre.livejournal.com 2005-02-18 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey Dawny! Sorry I didn't respond to your email yet. Did you figure out what I was talking about? And I guess now I have to write Crickett and catch her up on things. LOL

Thanks for the note.

You take care of yourself, and hope you'll be better soon. *huggles ya* <3

Thanks Elsa. ::huggles back::

Be care with the antibiotics. I always have to take diflucan anytime I'm on one or I get the mother of all yeast infections.
Hope you feel better soon.
