Interested in trying 3D graphics?
DAZ Productions Offers Bryce 5.0 (for Win/Mac), a 3D content creation application, as a free download until September 6. Bryce 5 creates realistic 3D landscapes and animations. Go here for more info: http://www.daz3d.com/program/bryce/bryce5free.php
I really like it for abstract stuff. You can make some really wild stuff really easily, and use it as a texture layer on something else you're working on. Lots of fun. But there are also tons of free objects out there you can download and import into Bryce. Furniture, plants, spaceships... you name it. I used an abstract that I made in Bryce as the base for the image I made for my InXplicable site splash page, here.
Here's a few other things I've made with Bryce in the past...
Go download it while it's still FREE!! And pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.

Last Man Standing
I found a model for the book, and I think I created the model for the Cartier box myself in 3ds Max, and rendered them in Bryce. Then I took it into PSP to add the text and embellishments.
I can only imagine the cool stuff you could come up with in it.

Yeah, when I got the notice saying they were offering Bryce for free - legally - I had to share that. Figured there had to be a few other people out there who wanted it. ;-)

Thanks again for the Bryce heads-up. Do you know if you have to install & register it before Sept 6?

As for Bryce, I would assume that you *do* need to install and register before the 6th, yes. After you register, there's another file you have to d/l too - with presets and textures and stuff. BTW, if you for some reason have trouble d/ling it, I can upload it somewhere for you. But you shouldn't have any trouble with it as long as you install and register by the 6th.

Once you have completed your installation, you will be prompted to register your copy at the DAZ3D.com website to receive your Bryce 5 serial number. At that time, you'll also be able to download the Bryce 5 presets.
