My pics from the Honda Civic Tour 4-10-08

So, the post-concert (and post-missing the meet & greet) blues are easing up a bit, and I decided to post my pictures. I kinda stopped looking at all the pics other people are posting, but I still suspect these are pretty typical. I did go through and remove most of the blurry ones, but there are still a few that I thought were worth posting despite not being perfectly in focus. There are a few pics of Phantom Planet, The Hush Sound and Motion City Soundtrack as well, but it's mostly Panic At The Disco. And although I really made an effort to get pics of all the Panic guys, the majority of them are of Brendon. You just can't take your eyes off that boy. He's got some unexplainable magnetic thing going on. Seriously.

I looked through the few video clips I did that night again, and I won't be posting any of those. They're all short little clips - no full songs at all - and none are all that great. Maybe I'll do better at the DC show. Although it's not that my camera wasn't capable of it - it's that my arms weren't. Ugh.

I sort of have little stories to tell about the show last Thursday, but... I don't feel like typing them all out. So let me just say that Eric Ronick is awesome - and TALL. And Shane Valdés (or Valdez, take your pick) is so much hotter in person. No picture I've seen of him does him justice. And he's super nice. And no - I did not ask him about being roomies with Brendon or whether or not that shower pic really is of him and Brendon or anything. Which may have been part of the reason he was so nice and so willing to talk about everything from "The Making of Pretty. Odd." DVD (which he edited in only 3 days) to the fact that he's doing the whole tour with the band (lucky bastard).

Hopefully I'll get another chance to talk to Shane and actually get Eric's autograph on my Black Gold CD and get another chance at a meet & greet with Panic - the latter being something I'm currently fighting with Artist Arena about.

So, I'm off to the Washington DC area on Saturday, and will be out there until May 24th. For those who might be wondering, my brother and his family live near DC and I made plans some time ago to go visit them this summer. They just had a new baby about a month ago, and I can't wait to see the little guy. It just worked out well that Panic is doing their DC show while I'm out there. I'm also meeting llvoncan in NYC to see the closing night show of "Antony & Cleopatra" with Randy Harrison. And we're staying really close to the Angels & Kings bar, so I'm hoping to stop by there for a drink and a photo or something (celiarosalind - want to come with me?)... but I'll only be in NYC for about 30 hours, so we'll see. If any of my other east coast friends want to try and meet up while I'm out there, let me know.

Shane is such a sweetheart. I met him back at the free show in Atlanta in March of last year. Definitely one of the nicest guys ever.

Thought I'd say Hi, as I'm a person of the older variety (lol) as well and tend not to go down the front at gigs anymore. Nice to know there's more of us out there behind the boys!
Shane sounds lovely and if he's doing the whole tour, does that mean we can look forward to another DVD? I certainly hope so!

Hey, I'm happy to see your HCT pictures. Some of them are really nice! For some reason the 6th PATD one is just hilarious to me. And I don't want to be sacrilegious or anything, but what is Greta wearing? And what is her piano wearing? Eeee! It seems like she's always being photographed in really cute strapless dresses, so I sort of imagined that is all she ever wears. Oh well, even if everyone in THS is wearing tablecloths and bric-a-brac for this tour, I am still very excited to see them.

And definitely let me know if you're going to Angels and Kings during your NYC whirlwind. I live in Manhattan and still haven't been there. My friends and I don't generally hang out in Alphabet City/East Village, so we never happen upon it by accident, and none of my friends like any FBR bands (sad frowny face) so no one ever wants to make the trek out just to go to a (forgive me, forgive me) bar that isn't that special if you're not into FBR. So definitely let me know, I would love to tag along! I will PM you my phone number shortly. :-)
