My pics from the Honda Civic Tour 4-10-08

So, the post-concert (and post-missing the meet & greet) blues are easing up a bit, and I decided to post my pictures. I kinda stopped looking at all the pics other people are posting, but I still suspect these are pretty typical. I did go through and remove most of the blurry ones, but there are still a few that I thought were worth posting despite not being perfectly in focus. There are a few pics of Phantom Planet, The Hush Sound and Motion City Soundtrack as well, but it's mostly Panic At The Disco. And although I really made an effort to get pics of all the Panic guys, the majority of them are of Brendon. You just can't take your eyes off that boy. He's got some unexplainable magnetic thing going on. Seriously.

I looked through the few video clips I did that night again, and I won't be posting any of those. They're all short little clips - no full songs at all - and none are all that great. Maybe I'll do better at the DC show. Although it's not that my camera wasn't capable of it - it's that my arms weren't. Ugh.

I sort of have little stories to tell about the show last Thursday, but... I don't feel like typing them all out. So let me just say that Eric Ronick is awesome - and TALL. And Shane Valdés (or Valdez, take your pick) is so much hotter in person. No picture I've seen of him does him justice. And he's super nice. And no - I did not ask him about being roomies with Brendon or whether or not that shower pic really is of him and Brendon or anything. Which may have been part of the reason he was so nice and so willing to talk about everything from "The Making of Pretty. Odd." DVD (which he edited in only 3 days) to the fact that he's doing the whole tour with the band (lucky bastard).

Hopefully I'll get another chance to talk to Shane and actually get Eric's autograph on my Black Gold CD and get another chance at a meet & greet with Panic - the latter being something I'm currently fighting with Artist Arena about.

So, I'm off to the Washington DC area on Saturday, and will be out there until May 24th. For those who might be wondering, my brother and his family live near DC and I made plans some time ago to go visit them this summer. They just had a new baby about a month ago, and I can't wait to see the little guy. It just worked out well that Panic is doing their DC show while I'm out there. I'm also meeting llvoncan in NYC to see the closing night show of "Antony & Cleopatra" with Randy Harrison. And we're staying really close to the Angels & Kings bar, so I'm hoping to stop by there for a drink and a photo or something (celiarosalind - want to come with me?)... but I'll only be in NYC for about 30 hours, so we'll see. If any of my other east coast friends want to try and meet up while I'm out there, let me know.

Yay, have fun! I'm glad you got pictures, since I forgot I had a camera, and probably would have lost it in the pit if I had remembered, haha.

Plus, I had your purse, remember? Heh. I was walking around taking pictures and talking to Shane with 2 purses hanging off me. LOL Oh well. The pics are pretty good, and lots of other people got good pics and video clips, so I'd say the evening is well documented. :-D

Where are you? Back home? Talked to Artist Arena again this morning. They're working on it, but nothing definite yet. ::sigh:: And I have not shipped off your forgotten item yet either. Tomorrow, for sure.

True! I was really glad I didn't have my purse later on. Plus, Shane saw me earlier, so the reason you were carrying two was prob obvious :D :D

...He is so attractive. *distracted* What were we talking about? Oh. Artist Arena. THE ANTICHRIST. *cough* I haven't emailed them yet. I'm phrasing it in my head for maximum "I AM REALLY PISSED OFF but I am being very calm and polite, so SNAP TO AND FIX IT" effect.

Yep! With Eric! Eric and Shane! I wish I'd noticed what store they'd been shopping at. Eric had a cute little black shopping bag, remember? No idea where it was from though. [/ random]

When I talked to them this morning, they remembered me from having called them earlier in the week, and they also remembered that I'd given them info for my friend - meaning *you* - so you can kind of keep that in mind when writing them too. But I'd definitely pester them be persistent. ::nods::

But *where* are you? I'm guessing you're back home now, but I have no idea. Yeah, you must be. Work = regular internet access, right?

I'm so glad you're more outspoken than me! Now hopefully at my own concerts I won't be afraid to go up to Shane and be like "SO...What's up?"

I want to say it was from some place like Abercrombie but I can't remember. Bah.

I'm home! We got back about an hour earlier than we expected on Wednesday (BECAUSE *I* was driving the last five hours, omg my mom goes five under the speed limit and it drives me CRAZY).

Guess what Seattle was saving for me? A possible chance of SNOW. IN APRIL.
