Too many doctors (especially older ones still have the mentality of "cure" rather than "care.") If a drug doesn't work, then "I" don't know what to do. that is one huge reason I LOVE the docs on the lists that I am on. They are the younger "caring" doctors. Maybe it will happen more and more with newer ones coming out. The pushing drugs plus the not sitting down and explaining to patients what exactly is going on kills me. "I take a pink pill the doctor prescribed, but I don't know what it is for. He just told me to take it." I hear it all the time with my older adults in the clinic. I'll be keeping you and your mom in mind.
