Twitter is a service that allows you to post short messages to their site, where other people there can "follow" your twitter posts. You can also set up Twitter to send your messages to LJ or pretty much any other blogging site. I like it because some of the bands I like have Twitter accounts and I can follow their messages there, and some of them will even reply to messages from you. And it forces me to limit each post to 120 characters and I don't have to think about icons and moods and all that.
