jenepherre: (Jensen-Dean Good Times grin)
I can't believe I haven't updated since the kidney stone thing! I suck. It took about a week altogether to pass, but I wasn't in pain that entire time or anything. Never did go to the hospital, and I'm glad I didn't. Anyway, that's over and done with, thank god.

Now it's just my effing VNS implant that's a pain. Literally. (For details, see the latest update in my VNS Diary.)

Other than that, I've spent a good part of my time over the past couple of weeks working on the BJfic.net site. I'm actually rather enjoying it, and I've made some new friends in the process. ::waves to the admin team:: If you're interested in keeping up to date on the changes we're making, or have a suggestion for us, join [livejournal.com profile] bjficsite. That's what the community was created for. And we really do and will listen to reasonable, well thought out suggestions. The final decisions still rest with the site owner, but we're always open to new ideas.

I recently was pointed in the direction of, and friended, a fellow Northern Californian. And it got me wondering... is anyone else on my f-list in Northern CA? I know that [livejournal.com profile] anniegirlsf92 is, 'cause she's the one I just friended. ::waves:: Last I heard, [livejournal.com profile] shimmergirl was in the Bay Area too. Anyone else? Anyone in the central valley? Just curious.

Unrelated, but:

If you're unhappy with some of the changes they've been making here on LJ, like the new edit profile page or the now-completely-separate comment options page or viewing options page or the funky new journal display section, go sign the petition. It's already gotten the attention of Six Apart, owners of Live Journal, but the more names on it the better, right?

And, as usual, I'm sure there was more I wanted to say, but for the life of me I can't remember what. So... later all.

Oh yeah, PITA computer problems too. Yay me.

I think I found the link to this in [livejournal.com profile] stillife's LJ a few days ago...

Enneagram Personality Type Indicator Results

Your highest score will indicate you basic type, or it will be among the top 2-3 scores. Low scores in some type might come out negative. That's perfectly normal.

Type 1The Reformer. The rational, idealistic type.0
Type 2The Helper. The caring, nurturing type.8
Type 3The Motivator. The adaptable, success-oriented type.-5
Type 4The Artist. The intuitive, reserved type.5
Type 5The Thinker. The perceptive, cerebral type.4
Type 6The Skeptic. The committed, security-oriented type.-5
Type 7The Generalist. The enthusiastic, productive type.-1
Type 8The Leader. The powerful, aggressive type.-6
Type 9The Peacemaker. The easygoing, accommodating type.0

"The Helper" is, I think, fairly accurate, but damn - look at those negative numbers and zeros! What's up with that? Does anyone know of any similar tests on other sites I can take? I'm curious to see if I get similar results.

BTW, this test doesn't really give you any copy/paste code to use in your LJ, plus I messed with the default format they use on the site to make it easier to read. If anyone wants the code, here you go:

Just plug your numbers into the appropriate places.
