eBay update

Well, the two items using my wallpapers have been removed by the seller. She insisted she had 'no idea' where they were from, and was just selling them for a friend. Uh-huh. She'd also like me to 'stop getting people to send her harassing emails.' Did I actually ask any of you to write to her? No.

She's still insisting that the autographs and COA's are real too, although if she's selling them for a friend, how can she really know that for sure? Regardless, those of us who have genuine autographs from various cast members (meaning we got the autographs in person from the actor/actress ourselves) have no doubt that the autographs on her items are forged, and by definition that means the COA's are forged as well.

You all have no idea how much I appreciate your support when this kind of thing happens. I probably get too worked up about it, but it is against the law to be making a profit off of items like that. I have a whole freakin' page about it on my website. And if I can't make a profit off of a piece of artwork I've made, there's no way some idiot on eBay is allowed to. See? There I go getting worked up again. ::sigh:: But seriously - thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement.

Just one last word of warning - a *lot* of the QAF autographed items being sold on eBay these days are forged. Buyer beware.

::off to take some heavy duty drugs for my headache::

I got here too late to see the auctions while they were still up, but I'm so glad that you got it all worked out.

I understand where you're coming from on this. I've worried about my Dallas signing pictures being sold by someone on eBay and figure that if it isn't right for me to profit by selling them there (which I really could have used the money), it wouldn't be right for someone else to take my pictures and do so for themself. I don't know if I've been fortunate not to have had someone take them for that purpose or they've been lucky not to get caught.

Anyway, I'm happy that you got them pulled, even if they are lying through their teeth about it in defense.

That really sucks. I'd be pissed off too. You're work is lovely, I proudly have half of your backgrounds on my computer in heavy rotation. lol

But that's why I don't buy autographed things from the internet unless from an offical site, like Hal's.

But, back to the point. You have every right to be mad. I would be too! I'll definately keep an eye out for people stealing you stuff. It's just not cool.

COA are bullshit, unless they are from showtime, anyone can make one up, I recently sold 3 items which had real autographs, but i wonderd how would people know they were real? I guess people would just have to take my word for it, but the items are long gone, and I still know for a fact they were real as I got them inperson. BUt when I see COA and the person selling losts of them, I do question it.
