In my experience, yes. (I'm on my laptop right now, btw.) I have a 160 GIG drive, and I add and delete and move files like crazy and haven't defragged it, like, *ever.* So yeah, I'm not too surprised it's taking this long. All that adding/deleting/moving of files is what causes it to become fragmented, and I do that a *LOT.* Hopefully it'll run a bit faster once the defrag is done.
