Birthdays!!

I'm posting my birthday stuff first, because I have a special request, but this is a week full of birthdays!

Today is my birthday. I posted the following on my Twitter early this morning, but wanted to post it here too.

It's after midnight now so - Happy Birthday to me! If any of you want to help me celebrate, what I would love most is the following:

A friend of mine (Chip Dorsch of Red Bull Records) is doing a 22 mile bike ride on Memorial Day to raise money for cancer research. Both his mother and mine are breast cancer survivors. So that's what prompted my birthday request. That, and the fact that Mom just got a clean bill of health, cancer-wise and I just had my yearly mammogram and it came back normal. Definitely reasons to celebrate! My yearly thyroid cancer follow-up is coming up shortly too, and I'm confident that it will turn out fine as well.

Happy Birthday Jenn! I gave time and money to Relay for life this weekend. We have lost too many people to cancer in my small community. As a result there is always a big community effort each year. Congrats on your clear check up. I hope your birthday was filled with love and laughter!
