Offline for a while...

I'll be offline for the next couple of hours or so installing my new ATI 128 mb Radeon All-In-Wonder 9600 graphics card! Yay me!! Just what I needed... another reason to sit in front of my computer. 'Cause now I'll be able to watch TV (and capture video clips and screen caps - including off of VHS tapes) on my 'puter. Why does it come with a remote control though...? LOL

More later. Cross your fingers for me that I don't run into any problems.

Graphics Card Update

It's in. I'm out. Of my mind.

The actual hardware installation was a breeze, but fuck if I can understand the software and drivers and I'm not too happy with the image quality I'm getting. I'm usually good with technical stuff like this, but this thing is FUCKING DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!

Now, I know I can't use the TV-in feature yet, because I still need to get the right cables to connect my TV to the computer. It has a coaxial jack, and I hooked that up, but it doesn't work.

It doesn't help that opening up the computer stirs up all that dust and gets my allergies going either, I'm sure. So I'm sniffling and my eyes itch as I'm trying to figure out what the hell to try next. I mean, fuck... I couldn't even register the damn thing 'cause I forgot to write down some fucking product number that you can only get off the card itself. I got the serial number, but this is something different.

I'm probably just going to go to bed early and deal with it tomorrow. Maybe. Smallville starts in 40 minutes, and then there's Angel... but I bet I won't be able to stay awake that long. ::le sigh::

I'm sure I'll get it all worked out eventually, but so far I'm really unimpressed...
