Poor Frienditto. They've reported me to both Photobucket and Live Journal for violating the copyright on their logo. Given that I am for enforcing copyright issues, I've removed the graphics. It would probably be wise for anyone else using them to remove them as well. But don't worry - I'll work on creating some new ones that don't infringe on the copyright and put them up for you to use.

Somebody is filling Frienditto with LJ entries from the status account and putting in random odd things for the subject and comments (the frienditto subject and comments, that is). More power to whoever it is! Use up all their webspace and bandwidth with stuff that's publicly available anyway! hehe You can see the latest posts as they're added here: frienditto but I highly recommend going to their site instead. That way it uses up their bandwidth instead of LJ's.

Actually, Mr. Bowie has - at times - admitted that he was bisexual at one point in his life. Other times he's recanted that statement. I personally believe he probably did have sex with men more than once during his Ziggy days, possibly even with Mick Jagger, as rumored. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

Interesting result since I happen to be a huge Bowie fan. Fascinating man.

More Frienditto stuff

I'm just all into spamming my flist today, aren't I? Frienditto stuff/quiz/More Frienditto stuff/another quiz... etc. I promise I'll try to stop soon, but this one is worth it.

You might want to watch this community: ditto_cops He/She has made an alphabetical list of every journal that has appeared on Frienditto so far, and apparently will update it regularly. Um... I did see one name on it I recognized. However, it was not an f-locked post (and it was hilariously funny!), so the security of her LJ and everyone on her flist should not have been compromised. And yes, I'm on her flist and (hadn't checked lately, but no big deal) she's on mine. Don't everybody run over there at once. LOL

One more thing

I want to clarify something about Frienditto that I think some people don't understand. If someone's name shows up on the ditto_cops list, it does NOT mean that they signed up for the service. If the name of one of your friends shows up on the list, first check and see if the post was friends-locked or not. If it wasn't - if it was a public post - then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. No access information is given to Frienditto in order to add a public LJ post to their 'archive service.' Your account is not at risk, nor is the person whose post is now on Frienditto. And from looking through a lot of the posts on there, it's not people archiving their own journals (which I think it was supposedly intended for, but who really knows...). It's other people - usually an 'enemy' - posting to try and embarrass the person whose post was logged. So don't rush to defriend people just because their name shows up. Look into the situation first.

If, on the other hand, the post you find was a f-locked post, then I would recommend contacting that person immediately. They may not even know about it. If they didn't post it, they need to check their f-list very carefully. If they did post it, not realizing the consequences, they should probably change their LJ password. And defriending at this point would be totally understandable.

I *think* - I haven't checked into this to be sure yet - that posted that are *filtered* should still only be accessible to the people on that filter, giving you a smaller group of people to worry about. You might want to think about setting up a filter of friends you truly trust and using that for posts with personal information in them.

Remember, if you've never given Frienditto your username and password, then the only part of your LJ that is at risk is the public posts and any f-locked posts that are accessible by people you aren't sure you can trust. But without your username and password, there's no way they can get into your account and do any damage or anything.

If your name is not on the list, you may want to check back through your older posts and make some of the more sensitive ones filtered or even private.

I just hate to see people jump in and defriend people when they may not need to. That said, if I see any of my f-locked posts show up there... I'll just defriend everybody. Well, almost everybody. There are a few people I know I can trust. :-)
