I absolutely hate store brand 'band aids' that don't stay on but do leave tons of adhesive goop behind, but that's all we have in the house right now.

Thanks to everybody who sent me nice notes about the whole image theft situation. I actually got so many of them, I'm not even going to try and answer them all personally. Even though I should.

I'm considering putting some specific info together about what happened. What was used without permission and how, etc. And about one picture of Gale Harold in particular that I know is floating around cyberspace, but that only exists in a certain form because I spent hours restoring and recreating part of his face that was never on the original image.

But I know the image is out there now, and my name has long since been removed from it, and there's no way I could ever make people understand the work I put into it. So... screw it. Or not... indecisive girl... that's me.

But anyway, lots of <3<3<3<3<3 to [livejournal.com profile] peach1250, [livejournal.com profile] drkcherry, [livejournal.com profile] mlleelizabeth, [livejournal.com profile] amazonx, [livejournal.com profile] logane, [livejournal.com profile] dreamsneak, [livejournal.com profile] shimmergirl, [livejournal.com profile] kristenk2, [livejournal.com profile] mothafunkybat, [livejournal.com profile] razorlicious, [livejournal.com profile] abelladonna, [livejournal.com profile] deslea... pretty much everyone on my friends list, and then some. Actually lots of other people too, but they aren't on LJ.

I can't decide what to do with my fan art now. If I want to share it or what. And if I want to give the details of what happened this time. It might be a good thing to let people know about it, but it would undoubtedly just make the guy that much more irate about it. I hate having enemies. But I didn't do anything wrong... if he wants to hate me, that's his problem, right? ::sigh::

Going back to bed. I'm rambling as it is, and I didn't even get started about my current pet and family issues.

ETA: why isn't indecisive in the list of LJ moods?

He??

Who is the hateful motherfucker and why would he want to take your stuff? You know, I don't like people who steal, it's just fuckin' wrong. I hope that sad bastard is in Isabel's path right now, having his shiny red pick-up truck dropped on his computer right now.

Funny enough, it reminds me of my absolutely favorite episode of "Sex and the City" "A Woman's Right to Shoes" where Carrie has a pair of $485 Manolo Blahniks stolen from a friend's home when she attends the party and is forced to remove her shoes. Aside from the fact that these people are guests in Tatum O'Neil's home and she's supposed to be sensitive to THEIR needs, like a good host, she doesn't seem phased at all by the fact that one of her "guests" sees no problem just taking shit from her house. I would flip out! How dare you feel like it's OK just to take things that are under my roof that are not explicitly offered as "You can take this." That pissed me off.

This is the same thing. You posting them on your site gives people the ability to copy them, but I would never post something without giving credit. [livejournal.com profile] indigogirluk did most of my icons, as you can see, I'm not that talented. You did the one with Langly and Skinner, but that one got retired to be resused another day. The ones that [livejournal.com profile] cdenise made for me were retired, too. Mrs. Fish did my "Compromised" covers and my "The Lonliest Archer" cover, why would I take credit for something I didn't do? Oh, Mort did the Endings and Beginnings stuff, which I apparently stole that title from jenniemcg, inadverdantly. See how easy that was? Gave credit, admitted to sublimating a title. And if jennie called me out on it, I'd own up that I'd prolly read her story and kept the title in my head. But anyway.

This fucker blows, he should die a slow, painful death and I hope he gets a disease that has no cure, asshole.

Here I go getting all goofy-philosophical: People who have wronged others seem to be the most likely to scream and wail about their own integrity and become angry at the people who they have wronged. Just from what you've posted it sounds to me like that's what this jerk has done with regard to you. He totally sucks for doing that. And it is definitely his problem.

One compromisey-sort-of idea for your art: Would you consider putting it on a password protected section of your sight?
