So I decided to make a playlist of California/West Coast songs, just for fun. So far I have:
West Of California - The Brobecks
LA Song - Christian Kane
West Coast - Coconut Records
Still In Hollywood - Concrete Blonde
Hollywood - The Cranberries
Los Angeles, I'm Yours - The Decemberists
San Jose - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Safe In L.A. - Gold Motel
California - Phantom Planet
Meet Me In California - Plain White T's
Obviously I like alternative rock, but I'm open to other types of music (except overly twangy country or rap). Not really looking for older songs like California Girls. Want kind of eclectic stuff. Any suggestions?? If anyone is interested, I'll post the playlist for download when it's done. :-)

California - Joni Mitchell (Incidentally, the above song is supposedly about Joni Mitchell)
Losing California - Sloan
California One/Youth and Beauty Brigade - The Decemberists
In California - Neko Case (though this is not very upbeat. It's about being homesick for somewhere else while living in LA).
California - Unified Theory
Queen of Hollywood - The Corrs
Fountain & Fairfax - Afghan Whigs
Gone Hollywood - Supertramp
I Love LA - Rilo Kiley
Ode to LA - Raveonettes
Train - Goldfrapp
