So I got the external USB hard drive problem figured out. It won't do exactly what I want it to do, but it'll do one of thing things I wanted it to do. I took my old secondary hard drive - one that I knew had nothing important on it - and put it in the hard drive enclosure and hooked it up. Then, since my only options were "delete partition" or "help," I went ahead and deleted the partition. Then formatted the drive, which assigned it a drive letter. Now I have a fresh, clean 80 gig drive just waiting to be used as a back-up drive. Shows up in Windows Explorer and My Computer just like it's supposed to.

So, it's a good thing my brother is sending me his data migration kit. That'll solve my other problem. So by next weekend I should be set. What a relief.

So [livejournal.com profile] quinn222, if you've already got all the important data off of your old drive, then you should still be able to make yours work as additional storage space or a back-up drive. Whoo-hoo! I'll email you my phone number so you can call if you have any problems setting yours up. Since I now consider myself to be an expert. LOL

Don't think I mentioned it yet, but I got new speakers and a new subwoofer along with the computer, and they are soooo awesome! Totally blow my old ones out of the room. So I'm loving listening to all my mp3s and cds again. I liked it on my old system, but this is 100x better.

Anyhoo... guess I'll go see if there's anything interesting on TV tonight. There's something on the Family Channel at 10pm called "Smallville Backstage Special." Anyone know what that is or if I should care about it?

Smallville Backstage. I have it downloaded. Basically its Brooke Burke asking insane and stupid questions, asking it to the actors as if they were their characters. There are some cute moments with Tom and Michael, Michael and John Glover and Allison.

You'll be ok if you miss it.

Thanks hon. I knew you'd have the answer for me.

The latest take on "Frankenstein" is on USA at 10pm, and I kinda want to watch that. Looks interesting.

I came in on the last 45 minutes of the movie, so I was completely lost. Although the original Frankenstein...muy hot!
