I hate this quiz

So I finally was able to get into Quizilla and take the 80's Band quiz. I hate it. The first 3 times it said I was The Pixies... I don't think I could even name one of their songs off the top of my head. I can't be them. The fourth time I got The Cure... I do love The Cure - one of the few bands I actually got to see in concert in the 80's - Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA when they were touring for "The Head on the Door." Went with my cousin. Whoo-hoo. We could barely see the stage, and there were more people in line for the women's bathroom than I can count. But it was so awesome to be there. Saw The Smiths there with my brother a while later - when they toured for "The Queen Is Dead." Loved that one too, though The Cure was better.

I think my problem with this quiz is that I think I'm a really obscure 80's band like... surprise! Haircut 100. Love them. No longer together. Lead singer used to be thin and adorable and is now pudgy and sorta lovable in a teddy bear kind of way. LOL Very upbeat music but with an oddly sad quality to it sometimes. Had a song used on QAF. That's me. LOLOLOLOL

In other words, I make no sense.

Gonna go take the quiz again but really play with the answers this time. hehe

Yes - he was successful with Haircut 100! It was great! I'm wishing now that I'd taped it.

He wasn't successful with The English Beat though. The guys who went off to form Fine Young Cannibals refused to even talk to the host guy.

You wanna talk about obscure? I'm the chick who was listening to Haircut 100, Pseudo Echo, Mental as Anything, Altered Images, The Belle Stars (pre "Iko Iko"), Fun Boy Three, and a host of others. KROQ was the food of the gods back then, and one late-night DJ on that station used to play all this way-out stuff from Europe. Good times, man - good times.

Man, tell me about it - I bring up some of the groups I listened to back in the day at work, and people just give me the o_O face.
