Well jeez...
Monday, February 3rd, 2003 02:25 amI'm busy for a couple of days, and you guys go off and find a ton of quizlets to do, and
xanthewalter joins and
sugarrush2003 adds me to her friends and what the hell else have I missed out on? Huh?
I'm so far behind on email. It's absolutely pathetic. Just sad. I think I owe emails to almost everyone on my LJ friends list. ::shaking head:: I so suck in that regard. LOL
In 'here's my excuse and ain't it a good one' news: my sister had the embryo transfer yesterday (Sunday). We won't know if she's officially pregnant for a couple of weeks, but the implanted 3 embryos, and they also had an additional 7 healthy embryos to freeze. That's absolutely fantastic news. It would save her a month's worth of drugs and abdominal pain and fatigue next time they want to try for another baby. And she doesn't have to worry about her age so much (she'll be 40 next New Year's). This is the third time they've tried in vitro, and the first time there have been enough healthy embryos that they could freeze some.
My mom and I drove over there to babysit my gorgeous, clever, brilliant, adorable, charming niece Emma while my sis went for the procedure. Emma is an in vitro baby herself, obviously. They got her on the very first try. Talk about hitting the jackpot. Of course, I'm not biased or anything. ::grin:: But she's only 2 1/2 years old and she has a huge vocabulary and speaks in complete sentences. And she picks things up so quickly. She gets a new book and has it memorized in just hours.
Why yes, I do love my niece Emma. How did you guess? ::grin::
Anyway, some of those quizlets look fun... I'll have to go do a few, of couse.

And that's such good news about your sister - I do hope it all goes well!
And Emma sounds just too adorable for words. I love hearing stories about her.
