Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] darksylvia, who is The Sun. My opposite? Interesting...

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

It really amazes me when this kind of quiz gives me an accurate result, because I'm not nearly as well versed on the political issues as I should be. I just went with my heart and my gut on the answers, and the results are exactly how I've been thinking as far as my top 3. I know realistically that Edwards doesn't have a great chance of winning, so it's really more between Clinton and Obama for me, but that doesn't make me agree any less with Edwards.

87% John Edwards
85% Hillary Clinton
85% Barack Obama
84% Chris Dodd
83% Bill Richardson
76% Joe Biden
72% Mike Gravel
66% Dennis Kucinich
48% Rudy Giuliani
42% John McCain
38% Tom Tancredo
35% Mike Huckabee
32% Mitt Romney
26% Fred Thompson
14% Ron Paul

Also, HI! Yes, I owe several people emails and/or comments and/or thanks and/or some sort of acknowledgment. So what else is new? Life is weird right now, but again... that's not really new, is it? It's just a different kind of weird than usual. I'm getting by. Hope you all are too. ::hugs::

Nerd, Geek or Dork?

I remembered seeing this over on [livejournal.com profile] larissa_j's LJ a while back, and remembered it this morning when I was talking to someone about the difference between nerds, dorks and geeks. So I figured I should take the test myself. I do tend to call myself a tech nerd, or perhaps more appropriately, a tech nerd wannabe. TechNerd

Modern, Cool Nerd
78 % Nerd, 60% Geek, 34% Dork
For The Record:
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd.

Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgeable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)!
Congratulations!
